Pedestrian & bicycle bridge (timber frame construction)

The Jünglingssteg is a covered wooden truss bridge over the Elz river.
Due to wear and corrosion damage on the previous bridge, the footbridge was completely rebuilt. It has a span of 45m and connects the old town of Waldkirch with the train station. The bridge is open to pedestrians and cyclists.

HMR750 Tension Rod Systems

Thread sizes:

  • M24 and M30 used to brace the floor
  • M30, M36, M48 in diagonal alignment to stabilize the roof structure on both sides

guaranteed design load: up to 795 kN

  • Bracing plates and cross members
  • In material grade S355 to EN1090-2

  • Systems hot-dip galvanised to DIN EN ISO 1461 in accordance with corrosivity category C3H
  • Special HMR thread coating corresponding to hot-dip galvanising => high corrosion protection and durability of the systems
  • Steel parts supplied hot-dip galvanised to DIN EN ISO 1461 compliant to C3 with high durability
  • Portal frame supplied duplex coated
