Pedestrian / bicycle bridge

Europe's longest foot and bicycle bridge connects the Belval district with the center of Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg. The bridge was built as part of the expansion of the Luxembourg bicycle network. It extends over 1.2 km and leads, at a height of 7.5 m, over an industrial area, where it runs along the railway track. The bridge is supported by masts in the form of gallows, which are suspended with tension rods in signal colors.

  • Special HMR thread coating corresponding to hot-dip galvanising => high corrosion protection and durability of the systems
  • Wet painting in RAL shade 1018 (zinc yellow) compliant to corrosion class C5 high to ZTV-Ing. standard applied by Haslinger Services
  • Application of HMR sealant for increased protection of threads up to corrosivity category C5 with high durability
